Gathapraya

Gathapraya is a culture festival that held by SMAN 3 Bandung. Gathapraya was held at 30th  September 2017. Culture festival is an annual event in SMAN 3 Bandung. The first time culture festival was held in 2014.

Gathapraya was open for public. We could get the ticket from website https://www.festivalbudaya.org/ . The price of the ticket start from Rp 35.000,00 until Rp 65.000,00 depends on time and place. Gathapraya was located in Lapangan Bali.

Before Gathapraya began there was a parade. The parade was enlivened by X grade of SMAN 3 Bandung and participants of fashion show. The participants and the students must wear kebaya and pangsi. Each class had to send two representative to join the fashion show. The parade start from Saparua Park to Lapangan Bali.

Gathapraya can be entered from 12.00 PM. The event was opened by singing national songs. After singing national songs, two representative of each class had a fashion show. After that, the bands and music classic of SMAN 3 performed. Also, there was a dance performance. The extracurricular collaboration of Music Classic 3, KPA (angklung), and gamelan rendition performed at 03.00 PM. After that, Tiloe’s Theater had an amazing performance.

Finally, the guest star performed. The first one is Vina Candrawati. She is a sand painter. She painted about Indonesian Culture. The paint was very beautiful. There was a famous dancer that is Didik Nini Thowok. He can dance women dance. He also can dance with two faces. The following performance was Elephant Kind.

The performance of Hivi! and Nidji were the most exciting performance. Hivi!’s songs are very popular among teenagers nowadays. So, when the Hivi! performed all of the audience start singing. And the most energetic performance is Nidji. The audience sing energetically.

Gathapraya was held in order to remind that we have to keep and preserve our own cultures.
